Foam fire extinguishers - Use - Storage of flammable liquids

Foam extinguishers contain, in addition to water, a foaming agent that forms foam when aerated. Thanks to the foaming agent, it is easier to wet, but also the foam produced insulates the burning substances from the air oxygen. In particular, it is used to extinguish flammable liquids. It is not possible to extinguish live electrical equipment with the device because the foam is conductive.
