Anti-slip floor tape HESKINS H3443 - resistant to chemicals

All our anti-slip tape materials have a high level of chemical resistance. Commonly used liquids such as water, soap solutions, etc. do not harm the tapes, they can withstand rougher handling during mechanical cleaning. However, in certain and very rare situations, anti-slip tapes can be completely submerged under liquids that are extremely aggressive. Some of our customers need a solution for operations where substances with a high concentration of MEK, toluene, acids, alkalis, etc.

Use

For almost all operations where there is a greater occurrence of chemicals, these tapes work great. However, here are two situations where problems can arise:

1. Chemical retention

• In this situation, fine chemicals such as basic cleaners mixed with water are trapped on the surface of the anti-slip tape without the possibility of escape, the liquids form a reservoir and without any form of dispersion can over time damage the resins that hold the minerals to the plastic film.

2. Aggressive chemicals

• The tape is not designed to withstand non-stop immersion in aggressive chemicals such as toluene, MEK, etc. Chemicals are occasionally used, but they can cause problems for the resin (top layer) with constant contact.
• The chemically resistant anti-slip tape has a modified resin top layer; this modification helps prevent problems by resisting most short-term chemical attacks.

This range of tapes is chemical resistant but has the exact same appearance as our regular tapes. The grit looks the same, the grip is on the same level and has the same coefficient of friction levels (how grip levels are measured).
