Decree no. 23/2008 Coll. specifies that households in new buildings (ie approved after 1.7.2008) must be equipped with autonomous smoke detectors, so it is mandatory in new buildings for final inspection. Photoelectric autonomous smoke detector and smoke alarm is one of the most important equipments of fire safety for households. It reacts to visible fumes (fumes) that are generated during combustion. The smoke alarm is designed to detect an early fire by providing early warning and to allow sufficient time for the evacuation of persons. The detector has a test button and it is recommended to replace the batteries once a year. The detector is certified according to EN14604 and meets the requirements of building fire protection. LOCATION OF THE DEVICE UNDER DECREE No. 23/2008 Coll., - The family house must be equipped with an autonomous detection and signaling device (according to STN EN 14604). - In a multi-dwelling house, each apartment must be equipped with this equipment. - Autonomous detection and signaling devices shall be located in the section leading to the exit from the apartment. In the case of a flat area over 150 m2, a maisonette or multi-storey dwelling, other autonomous detection and signaling devices shall be located in another suitable part of the dwelling. - For a multi-dwelling family house, additional autonomous detection and signaling equipment shall also be located at the highest point of the common corridor or space.
